Katarina Čikoš Subotić

About

My name is Katarina Čikoš Subotić, a systemic family psychotherapist under supervision and a final year doctoral student in pedagogy. By integrating knowledge from studies in pedagogy and systemic family psychotherapy, as well as personal work on psychotherapy, they contributed to a better understanding of both individuals and the entire family system. I believe that psychotherapy provides valuable time that allows you to fully devote yourself, to becoming aware of your beliefs, strengthening your strength to overcome difficulties and obstacles, which contributes to the overall development of your authenticity. In my work with clients, I cultivate a supportive, pleasant atmosphere full of empathy, which we aim at strengthening resources for overcoming difficulties, but above all at raising awareness of the authenticity that each individual possesses.

A change in one family member affects the other members, and therefore changes in the entire family system. Approaching in this way, family therapy takes into account the context in which the individual and the family live, at the level of larger systems such as the extended family, social community, culture, nation, as well as at the level of subsystems such as parental, partner, sibling (brothers and sisters).
Family therapy does not consider that the individual is the problem or that the problem is in the individual, but in the relationships, relationships and interactions that he realizes in the family.
